A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ICONIC APPRENTICE

IS THIS YOU?

You have, or are predicted to achieve, three A levels or equivalent at grade C or above. Ideally, you've studied at least one STEM subject.

You love working as part of a team, working together and helping each other out, to meet team goals. You're adaptable enough to turn your hand to anything needed to get the job done.

You live within an hour's travel of Wokingham town centre.

You're really organised. You manage your time well, are great at multitasking and know how to set priorities.

You're confident, and independent. The idea of travelling to sites across the UK and meeting new people excites you.

You're ambitious, driven and want to build a lasting career.

You're eager to learn. The blend of online academic study cemented by practical application is the best way for you to build new skills.

WHAT DOES THIS APPRENTICESHIP LOOK LIKE?

The role is primarily office-based at our head office in Wokingham but will require occasional travel around the UK to visit project sites, clients and suppliers.

This 5 year construction project management apprenticeship will involve learning all aspects of the job, under expert guidance.

All educational content will be delivered online with guidance from the Chief Executive Officer

The trainee will complete BSc Construction Management with Project Management pathway and MRICS through the University College of Estate Management (UCEM)

The first 4 years of the apprenticeship will result in Bsc Construction Management with the final year working towards MRICS, at which point you will have attained Chartered Surveyor status. You will be ready to begin working as an assistant project manager on more complex projects

80% of time will be spent on on-the-job learning and 20% spent on academic learning and personal development.

At the end of the apprenticeship, you may be offered the opportunity to continue onto our graduate training scheme. This 24 month programme is designed to develop project management and leadership skills and will ready you for the role of Project Manager

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING

Starting salary of £18K per annum

Leave allowance of 26 days, plus a Christmas shutdown period. Depending on when Christmas falls, this is up to 30 days holiday in total. Of course, you'll also get all bank holidays off too.
