Assistant Project Manager (Construction)

Iconic Project Management are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to work with our Director of Project Management. We need your help to provide outstanding project management for construction projects across the retail, leisure, hospitality and commercial sectors.

This is your opportunity to further your project management career in a small, friendly team. You’ll be mentored by the best in the business whilst delivering small and medium projects, from inception to completion.

This is a full-time position, based at our Wokingham office. You can expect regular travel to project sites across the UK. If you would prefer to work from home for some of the time, or need some flexibility with hours, we are happy to discuss that.

Salary and benefits

  • £32,500 p.a.

  • 22 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown

  • Work-based pension

Core Responsibilities

  • Supporting various project delivery activities relating to the assigned projects on a day-to-day basis, including issue resolution, progress reporting, risk management, and achievement of project deliverables on time and on budget.

  • Identifying emerging issues, risks, problems or variance to the agreed project objectives, plan, budget and scope. Where appropriate, providing recommendations on potential courses of action and escalating to the Director of Project Management.

  • Supporting the Director of Project Management in building effective relationships with project sponsors and other key stakeholders.

  • Attending the various project sites to monitor Contractor progress against programme and quality.



  • Educated to at least HND level. A construction or businesses related subject will be an advantage.

  • Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE 2, etc)



  • At least two years in construction projects, retail projects, or design.
